![]() The Sony Ericsson K800i is a dual-mode UMTS handset that operates on 900/1800/1900MHz GSM networks and 2100MHz UMTS networks. Besides the high-end camera and imaging features, the K800i also sports a 2” QVGA display, 64MB internal memory and Memory Stick Micro expansion slot, full HTML browsing with RSS feeds and Google Search, Bluetooth 2.0 and synchronization to PC. Like the Nokias, the Sony Ericsson K800i isn’t offered by any US carrier, but you can buy it from importers such as Dynamism who supplied our review unit. The Samsung a990 offered by Verizon and the Nokia N80 and N73 sold either direct from Nokia’s web site or through importers have made their ways onto US shores. Fast forward a few months, mobile users in the US have quite a few choices when it comes to mobile phones with high-end digital cameras (2 megapixels or greater).
